Smart Technology

The nominal voltage supply in the UK is 240V. The average is 242V with peaks as high as 250V.

Discharge lighting systems are designed to operate at much lower voltages. This includes the common fluorescent tube and systems such as metal halide, typically found in large spaces such as warehouses and HPS (sodium), typically used outdoors for street lighting.

The higher voltage levels are simply wasted energy.

The Lighting Energy Contoller (LEC) reduces the voltage by up to 35v whilst maintaining appropriate light levels, thus creating energy efficiencies and savings.

The LEC is compact and light weight. It is installed on your electrical system between the distribution board and the lighting circuits. Crucially, no change is required to the existing lighting infrastructure - you don't have to touch the fittings or lamps you currently have. Installation is simple and straightforward.
