About the Carbon Trust:

The Carbon Trust is an organisation established by the Government in 2001, with a remit to cut carbon emissions. They do this through the provision of specialist advice and financial support to the business community. In 2008 the Carbon Trust helped UK businesses to cut up to 2.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from their annual emissions.

Borrow from £3,000 to £400,000 at 0% interest.

Unsecured loans are available for all sizes of businesses that are not subject to the Carbon Reduction Commitment (typically those with an annual electricity bill less than £500,000), repayable over a period up to four years. So, given a payback of 1-4 years, the LEC can be fully funded, in effect a zero cost option.
